Vacuum freeze drying - how does it work?

  • Documents are shock deep frozen at a temperature of -40°C. This procedure prevents further damage on the materials such as mould growth, further swelling of paper and cardboard as well as the further corrosion of metal parts.
  • When material is dried under vacuum, the ice is transformed immediately into steam (sublimation).

The docusave drying method

  • we dry objects under high vacuum
  • our method takes into consideration the type of material
  • our efficient and careful method ensures that no consecutive treatment is necessary, eliminating further costs.
  • no overdrying of materials
  • no additional damages like tears in leather
  • our method ensures first class drying of modern, sensitive paper qualities such as thermographic papers with zinkoxyde coating or non-carbon copy papers, etc.
  • adjustable height inside the machine makes it possible to dry larger sizes and bulky batches which prevents the need for further drying sessions which could cause additional damage to the materials.
