Cleaning of mud and soot
Documents, books and other cultural artefacts damaged by mud and soot undergo a consecutive treatment. If necessary damaged bindings and labels are replaced.
Disinfection
In the case of fungal growth, we take adequate action in accordance with the latest scientific knowledge in connection with mould propagation: We eliminate the spores and disinfect paper by gamma radiation.
Neutralization of smells
Archival documents and books damaged by water or fire may discharge disagreeable smells: smells of smoke and soot in the case of a fire, or smells of faeces in the case of sewerage water damage. Such smells are neutralized with a special treatment whereby chemical reactions either modify or destroy the molecular structure of unpleasant smells.
In many cases, it is only after a couple of days of cleaning works that it is possible to evaluate the cost of the intervention. On arrangement with the client and insurance companies involved we only clean what is really necessary. After instruction by docusave and thanks to mobile cleaning stations, the client may do part of the cleaning work by himself.
